Word of the day (indentation) – Pause the video once the word of the day is introduced. Write the word and meaning into your book then use the word in two different sentences and find synonyms and antonyms. Which of the sentences uses the word correctly/incorrectly?

Spellings- Note down the spellings, (also available on the school website) and learn them using Look, Cover, Write and Check. Ensure you know the meaning of each word and try to use them in your writing or in a sentence. You will send your score on Friday, after the test, to your teacher via I am Learning.

Mr Fozzard will then read an excerpt from his story – but you can read it for yourself in the worksheet and go back to the video after if you would like.  If you do, re-start the video at 19:55.

Features of a story – ensure you first have a go at listing what you think the features are, then add to your list with any features that you missed.

INDEPENDENT TASK- Listen to the explanation and then pause the video. Scroll up to the top of the page and click ‘Next Activity’ click through the slides until you see the independent task (should be larger than on the video).

Complete the task in your Homework book. Then, resume the video by scrolling up to the top of the page and selecting resume and mark your work in green pen.
