LO

LO: To understand how to use a list of three.

Terminology

List of three – three facts which makes the sentence more powerful and memorable. It is therefore more persuasive.

Resources (including
exercise book being used)

English book, blue pen, pencil, ruler and green pen.

Instructions

Click ‘Start Lesson’ then ‘Start Quiz’. First, complete the quiz. This is to show what you already know so don’t worry if you find some questions tricky. Record your score in your English book.

Then, scroll up to the top of the page then click ‘Next Activity’.

Read these instructions then watch the video. The teacher will explain when to pause. Complete all work in your English book under your Date and LO, not on a sheet of paper. You can reply to the teacher out loud just like a real lesson! When it says ‘Your turn’, write your answer in your book then mark in green pen when the teacher tells you the answer.

Word of the day – Pause the video once the word of the day is introduced. Write the word and meaning into your book then use the word in two different sentences and find synonyms and antonyms (as we have done in school).

INDEPENDENT TASK- Listen to the explanation and then pause the video and close the video. Scroll up to the top of the page and click ‘Next Activity’. Click through the slides until you see the independent task (should be larger than on the video). Complete the task in your English book. Then, resume the video by scrolling up to the top of the page and selecting resume and mark your work in green pen.

Spellings- This is additional spelling work to your normal spelling test which will still be on a Friday.

Again, click ‘Next Activity’. You should see ‘Start Quiz’ complete the quiz. Record your score in your English book then send your English and Maths score to your class teacher when you send your ‘Good Morning’ message on I Am Learning tomorrow.
