LO: To use conjunctions in a non-chronological report.

First, complete the knowledge quiz. Record your score in your English book.

Then, scroll up to the top of the page then click ‘Next Activity’.

Read these instructions then watch the video, the teacher will explain to when to pause. Complete all work in your English book under your Date and LO not on a sheet of paper. Remember to mark any work you can in green pen.


Word of the day - Habitat

SPAG Focus: (Slide 2) Conjunctions – Coordinating Conjunctions (FANBOYS) (Slide 3) and Subordinating Conjunctions (Slide 4) which introduces subordinate clause.  (A WHITE BUS)

My Turn Your Turn: (Slides 5-7) Listen to and read the information ‘The Sneakleonkey and identify different types of conjunctions.

Now look at ‘Habitat’ and ‘Diet’ and ‘Did You know’ paragraphs and identify conjunctions. Check answers by pausing video.


Independent Activity: (Slide 8) Listen to the explanation and then pause the video and complete your conjunctions activity by answering questions 1-5. Then, mark your answers.


Spellings: This is additional spelling work to your normal spelling test which will still be on a Tuesday.  This week’s focus is words ending in ‘ly’.


Finally, complete the end of lesson knowledge quiz. Record your score in your English book then send your English and Maths score to your class teacher when you send your ‘Good Morning’ message on I Am Learning tomorrow.
