Word of the day (incredulous) – Pause the video once the word of the day is introduced. Write the word and meaning into your book then use the word in two different sentences and find synonyms and antonyms. (1:48) and (1:59)

Spellings- Note down the spellings, (also available on the school website) and learn them using Look, Cover, Write and Check. Ensure you know the meaning of each word and try to use them in your writing or in a sentence. You will send your score on Friday, after the test, to your teacher via I am Learning.

INDEPENDENT TASK- Listen to the explanation and then pause the video. Scroll up to the top of the page and click ‘Next Activity’ click through the slides until you see the independent task (should be larger than on the video).

Complete the task in your Homework book. Then, resume the video by scrolling up to the top of the page and selecting resume and mark your work in green pen.

Optional extension task: Plan out what you would write in your own letter of complaint. Note some bullet points on what you could include in each paragraph. You do not need to write it up yet. It can be a made up complaint. Try to think of where you could use as many of the structural and grammatical features as you can.

Once the video is finished please close it. Then, click ‘Next Activity’. You should see ‘Start Quiz’ complete the quiz. Record your score in your Homework book (out of 13) then send your English and Math score to your class teacher when you send your ‘Good Morning’ message on I Am Learning on Thursday.
