LO: to use the grammatical features of a letter of complaint. 


Homework book, blue pen and green pen. 


Read these instructions then watch the video, the teacher will explain to when to pause.

Complete all work in your Homework book under your Date and LO.


Click ‘Start Lesson’ then ‘Start Quiz’. First, complete the quiz. This is to show what you already know so don’t worry if you find some questions tricky. Record your score in your Homework book.

Then, scroll up to the top of the page then click ‘Next Activity’.


Spellings- Complete the spelling test and write down your score (out of 8). Any spelling you got wrong, practise them again over the weekend and ask and adult to retest you Monday.


Word of the day (inexcusable)– Pause the video once the word of the day is introduced. Write the word and meaning into your book then use the word in two different sentences and find synonyms and antonyms. (6:40)


INDEPENDENT TASK - Listen to the explanation and then pause the video when prompted. Remember you are writing a letter of complaint. Think about a place you have previously been and what could have gone wrong or an item that you have bought that wasn’t as you expected.  


Once you have finished the video please close it. Make sure you have edited your writing.

Mark your work by using the success criteria – label in the margin at least one example of the grammatical features.  Any that you missed should be written underneath as a target for next time.  E.g. Next time I write a letter of complaint, I will …
