English Lesson




LO: To answer questions on a text


(including  exercise book being used)English book, blue pen, green pen, pencil, ruler


Click ‘Start Lesson’ then ‘Start Quiz’. First, complete the quiz. This is to show what you already know so don’t worry if you find some questions tricky. Record your score in your English book.

Then, scroll up to the top of the page then click ‘Next Activity’.

Read these instructions then watch the video, the teacher will explain to when to pause.

The teacher will ask you to pause the video to watch your challenge video! To do this, pause and close the video. Then, click ‘Next Activity’ to see the slides for the lesson. Use the arrow at the bottom to go to slide 2 and click on the link to watch the video.

When you have watched the video, then go back to the teacher video (you will see ‘Resume Video’ at the top of the page).
Complete all work in your English book under your Date and LO not on a sheet of paper. You can reply to the teacher out loud just like a real lesson! When it says ‘Your turn’ write your answer in your book then mark in green pen when the teacher tells you the answer.

Your Activty- Listen to the explanation and then pause and close the video. Scroll up to the top of the page and click ‘Next Activity’ click through the slides until you see the independent task (should be larger than on the video). The worksheet is shown on the slides that you used earlier to watch the challenge video. You will need to use the arrows to go back and forth through the text and questions.  Complete the task in your English book.
Then, resume the video by scrolling up to the top of the page and selecting resume and mark your work in green pen.


Spellings- This is additional spelling work to your normal spelling test which will still be on a Tuesday.

Again, click ‘Next Activity’. You should see ‘Start Quiz’ complete the quiz. Record your score in your English book then send your English and Maths score to your class teacher when you send your ‘Good Morning’ message on I Am Learning tomorrow.
