Instructions

Click ‘Start Lesson’ then ‘Start Quiz’. First, complete the introductory quiz. This is to show what you already know so don’t worry if you find some questions tricky. Record your score in your English book.

Then, scroll up to the top of the page then click ‘Next Activity’.

Read these instructions then watch the video, the teacher will explain to when to pause. Complete all work in your English book under your Date and LO not on a sheet of paper. You can reply to the teacher out loud just like a real lesson! When it says ‘Your turn’ write your answer in your book then mark in green pen when the teacher tells you the answer.

Write down the word of the day in your book, its word class and the definition. E.g. Run, Verb, move at a speed faster than a walk.

Resume the video and listen to the teacher explain the challenge. Please note, he says to pause the video and watch the challenge by pressing ‘Next Activity’ but you don’t need to pause it, the vide just plays straight away. After this, complete Your Activity:

Your Activity- Listen to the explanation and then pause and close the video when instructed. Scroll up to the top of the page and click ‘Next Activity’ click through the slides until you see Poetry: SPAG focus. Then scroll through the slides and complete your own sound hunt. Use the sentence structure on the last slide to write your ideas down using expanded noun phrases. Don’t try to compose your poem yet, just collect ideas. You will write your sound poem tomorrow.

Then, resume the video by scrolling up to the top of the page and selecting resume and mark your work in green pen.

Spellings- This is additional spelling work to your normal spelling test which will still be on a Friday.

Again, click ‘Next Activity’. You should see ‘Start Quiz’ complete the quiz. Record your score in your English book then send your English and Maths score to your class teacher when you send your ‘Good Morning’ message on I Am Learning tomorrow.
