Instructions

Click ‘Start Lesson’ then ‘Start Quiz’. First, complete the introductory quiz. This is to show what you already know so don’t worry if you find some questions tricky. Record your score in your English book.

Then, scroll up to the top of the page then click ‘Next Activity’.

Read these instructions then watch the video, the teacher will explain to when to pause. Complete all work in your English book under your Date and LO not on a sheet of paper. You can reply to the teacher out loud just like a real lesson! When it says ‘Your turn’ write your answer in your book then mark in green pen when the teacher tells you the answer.

Write down the word of the day in your book, its word class and the definition. E.g. nimble, adjective, to be quick and light in movement and action.

Your Activity- Listen to the explanation and then pause and close the video when instructed. Scroll up to the top of the page and click ‘Next Activity’. Follow the slides along until you get to ‘Your Task’. Have a go at the task in your English book. You must set your work out neatly, just like we would expect in class.

For Q1 – Write out the sentences and add in the missing punctuation.

For Q2 – Write out the sentences in your neatest handwriting and add commas in the correct places.

For Q3 – Copy out the passage in your neatest handwriting and correct it by adding in the missing punctuation.

Then, resume the video by scrolling up to the top of the page and selecting resume and mark your work in green pen if you can.

Spellings- This is additional spelling work to your normal spelling test which will still be on a Friday.

Again, click ‘Next Activity’. You should see ‘Start Quiz’ complete the quiz. Record your score in your English book.
