Good morning Year 5
Please do not begin this work until Friday 15th May 2020
Remember, your first job every day is to send a 'Good Morning' message to your class teacher on I Am Learning by 10 am. Remember to include your scores from yesterday's Maths and English end of lesson quiz.
If you run out of space in any exercise books (orange Maths or yellow English book), please ask an adult to contact the office to arrange to pick up a new one.

Arithmetic (20 minutes)
Art (2 hours) – Beast Creator
Task 1: If you have access to a printer, print out the ‘Finish off the insect’ PDF and have a go at copying the other half of the dissected bugs. Do this in pencil. If you do not have a printer, have a go at sketching the bug.
Start by working on just the outlines. You can use a ruler to measure how big the parts are if it helps. Then focus on the patterns (dots, dashes, etc.) and the shading of each part. Remember you can use different pressures when using your pencil to create different effects. Make sure you have a sharp pencil to start with and remember this is a creative task; there is not right or wrong answer so have fun and be creative.
This task will take patience and attention to detail. If you are really proud of yours, you can send them to the office email address (on the school website) and put FAO and your class teacher's name and we may put some really good ones up on our distance learning page!
