Well done Year 3! We have all completed our 1st week with distance learning. In doing so, we are keeping safe and helping the NHS to do their jobs and save lives. Did anybody join in with the applause at 8pm last night? Maybe tell your teacher about it in their morning message.

Here is today's tasks. Next week, we will try to provide some suggested timings but just do whatever works for you and your family.

Daily Challenge

Today's challenge is about celebrating stories. If you only do one thing while you’re at home, make it reading!

We want you to think about your favourite story and celebrate it through discussion, pictures, crafts, a fact file or recommendation.

Think about why you recommend this to other children. You can present it in any way you like - you could even do it on reading cloud so that we can see it! Remember on reading cloud you could do a written one or a video review! Think about how you can use images, titles and bullet points to organise your work.

You could also celebrate your story by:

  • drawing pictures
  • acting it out with toy characters
  • Creating a craft like a junk model
  • Making the story out of play dough

Have fun!
