LO: To investigate a problem using symmetry.

Resources

Pencil, ruler, green pen, Maths book.

 

Instructions

First, complete the knowledge quiz about weight and record the score in your exercise book.

Then, ‘Close Quiz’ and scroll up to the top of the page then click ‘Next Activity’.

Remember to mark all work in green pen.

 

Watch the video, the teacher will explain when to pause to complete an activity. Remember worksheets can be seen on the ‘Slides’ page.

Maths Fact – The world’s most expensive car.

 

To Start (Slide 2): Try to work out of the value of each symbol using the information you have been given. Listen carefully to how the values can be calculated.

Then Listen to explanation about symmetry.

 

Moving on (Slide 3): In your book, complete the block picture using symmetry to fill in the correct squares.

 

Main Tasks (Slides 4 and 5): Draw the shapes shown and the lines of symmetry in your book. Then complete each symmetrical picture.

 

When you have completed this task stop the video and click ‘Next Activity’ and take the exit quiz by pressing ‘Start Quiz’. Complete the quiz and record your score in your Maths book and send your English and Maths score to your class teacher when you send your ‘Good Morning’ message on I Am Learning tomorrow.
