Polygon – a 2D shape with 3 or more straight sides

Instructions

Click start lesson and complete the knowledge quiz. Record your score in your Maths book. Click ‘Next Activity’.

 

Watch the video. The teacher will explain when to pause so you can complete an activity. Remember to mark your answers neatly in green pen. When asked to complete the activity ‘Defining polygons’, you could write subheadings and bullet point notes underneath them rather than draw the table.

 

When drawing shapes, please use a ruler.

 

Main Activity (Independent task) – complete the independent tasks in your Maths book. To view the tasks on a larger screen, pause and close the video, click next activity and scroll through the slides.

Task 1 – If you would like to, you can draw the shapes in your book. Show your working out when calculating the sum of the interior angles and the perimeter.

When you have completed the task, resume the video and mark your answers using green pen.

 

Click ‘Next Activity’ and complete the final quiz. Record your score in your Maths book.
