Remember to record your scores so you can send your result from the end of lesson quiz to your teacher tomorrow.

LO: To estimate area.

(including exercise book being used) Pencil, ruler, green pen, Maths book.

Remember, we would say breadth as width.

First, complete the knowledge quiz. This is to show what you already know so don’t worry if you find some questions tricky. Record your score in your Maths book.

Then, ‘Close Quiz’ and scroll up to the top of the page then click ‘Next Activity’.

Watch the video, the teacher will explain when to pause to complete an activity. We are not using the worksheets referred to. They look exactly the same as the activities you see on the video and slides so don’t worry about not having them.
Complete all work (including warm ups) in your Maths book under your Date and LO, not on a sheet of paper. You can reply to the teacher out loud just like a real lesson! When it says ‘Your turn’ write your answer in your book then mark in green pen when the teacher tells you the answer (you can pause the video if you need more time).

Main Activity- Listen to the explanation and then pause the video to do my turn your turn. Then resume the video. Pause again when told to and draw the table in your book and finish off missing sections. On the next pause again draw the table into your book and complete.

Then resume the video for answer and the next section of work.

Then, scroll up to the top of the page and click ‘Next Activity’. You can then see a larger version of the independent task.  Complete the task in your Maths book.

To make your square: use a scrap piece of paper and your ruler to measure the sides. Ask for help if you get stuck. Then draw a table like the one shown and write in your results. After that resume the video.

Then, click ‘Next Activity’ to view ‘Start Quiz’. Complete the quiz and record your score in your Maths book and send your English and Maths score to your class teacher when you send your ‘Good Morning’ message on I Am Learning tomorrow.
