To convert between a tonne and kilograms, you need to multiply the number by 1000 e.g. 4 tonnes is 4000 kg (4 tonnes x 1000 = 4000 kg).

To convert between kilograms and a tonne, you need to divide the number by 1000 e.g. 6700 kg is 6.7 tonnes (6700 kg divided by 1000 = 6.7 tonnes).

When the video says ‘You turn quick conversions,’ please copy this in your Maths book, underline the missing measurement and fill in the conversion.

Remember to mark all work in green pen.

Main Activity (Independent task): Complete the table of materials needed for the stadium. Please copy this table in your Maths book. Remember to write the units of measurement. The teacher on the video will show you how to complete the first 2 so please watch this first. Then, mark your work in green pen.

Complete the quiz and record your score in your Maths book and send your English and Maths score to your class teacher when you send your ‘Good Morning’ message on I Am Learning tomorrow.
