Wednesday  3.6.20

LO

L.O. To solve problems involving 3D shapes

Resources (including
exercise book being used)

Maths book, pencil, green pen, ruler.

Instructions

Write your date and LO in your Maths book, then complete the Introductory quiz. This is to show what you already know so don’t worry if you find some questions tricky. Record your score in your Maths book.

Then, scroll up to the top of the page then click ‘Next Activity’.

Watch the video, the teacher will explain when to pause. Make sure you have a go at all of these questions. You will need to draw a sketch of the nets in the questions to be able to answer these.

INDEPENDENT TASK - Pause and close the video and click ‘Next activity’. The task is on the slides.  For some of the questions, you will need to draw nets.  Carefully and neatly, cut a couple of pages out of the back of your maths book – the squared paper will make this a lot easier.

Once you have completed the task, resume the video and mark your working (edit errors in green pen).

Extension: Today’s extension task isn’t linked – it’s just something to get you thinking. – ‘The Fibonacci sequence’

There isn’t an end of lesson quiz today, so when you message your teacher tomorrow, you can write:  Maths – no quiz. J

Tomorrow – you will need a piece of string for the lesson – see if you can find one today so you are ready to learn.  (If you have a compass, that would be useful too).
