LO: To generate and describe linear number sequences

Resources (including
exercise book being used)

Maths book, pencil, green pen and ruler.

Instructions

Write your date and LO in your Maths book, then complete the Introductory quiz. This is to show what you already know so don’t worry if you find some questions tricky. Record your score in your Maths book. Then, scroll up to the top of the page then click ‘Next Activity’.

 

Watch the video, the teacher will explain when to pause. When it says ‘Your turn’ write your answer in your book then mark in green pen when the teacher tells you the answer (you can pause the video if you need more time). 

 

1.11 - What fraction the whole do the blocks represent?

3.35 – Pause the video and write the number represented by the blocks,

4.05 – Without the place value as support, write the number the blocks represent.

8.08 – What will the 6th term be in this sequence?

9. 18 – What do you notice about the thousandth digit in each term?

10.12 – What the tenth term by odd or even? How do you know?

11.20 – Do you think that 0.2 will appear in the sequence? Why? 

15.29 – Complete the challenge question

20.46 – Pause the video and find terms one to five in the sequence.

 

INDEPENDENT TASK – Pause and close the video and click ‘Next activity’. The task is on the slides.

Once you have completed the task, resume the video and mark your working (edit errors in green pen).

 

Then, click ‘Next Activity’ to view ‘Start Quiz’. Complete the ‘Exit quiz’ and record your score (out of 3).
