Please Note: We have added a suggested timetable onto our distance learning page for you follow if it helps you to organise your day. You do not have to follow these times – talk to an adult at home to decide what will work best for you. If you are following your own timetable, we have added a time in brackets which is a guideline to show how long each activity might take.


First, remember to send a message (by 10am) on I Am Learning to your teacher to count as your register mark.


PE with Joe Wicks (30 minutes)


Grammar (30 minutes) – Read the revision sheets in your pack ‘Suffixes’. Then complete the two tasks on I Am Learning (Suffixes: tious/cious, tial/cial and Choosing Suffixes).


Reading (40 minutes) – KS2 English Comprehension Year 5 Targeted Question Book p.30-31 ‘The Wolves of Willoughby Chase’. Read the text and look up any unfamiliar words in the dictionary. Annotate on the text. Complete the questions in the book neatly in blue pen.


Spelling (20 minutes) – practise any words that you did not spell correctly in the test last week.

Multiplication (10 minutes) – BBC Supermovers. Follow this link to practise your times tables while exercising.


Maths (1 hour) – Decimals.


Mark your Maths work – page 43/93 Year 5 Textbook 1 and page 26 CGP. You will find the answers at the top of this page. Please mark answers neatly in green pen and correct any errors.


Complete the task ‘Rounding Decimals’ on I am Learning.


Then complete CGP Year 5 Targeted Question Book pages 36 and 37 in your maths book. Remember the presentation rules (write the short date and the page number as your sub-heading, 1 digit per square and use a pencil).

Science (1 hour) – conductors and insulators. Watch the videos and make notes about some of the key scientific vocabulary and materials. There is also an activity to complete on the first web link (put the insulators and conductors into the right box). Carry out some extra research into thermal conductors and insulators. Then complete the task on I am Learning.

Reading (30 minutes) -

Read chapter three ‘The Eye-Gouger’ in Beetle Boy. On a post-it note, record three pieces of information about ‘Baxter’. Place the post-it note on chapter three in the book.
