Grammar (40 minutes) – read the sheet ‘Determiners’. Complete p.14 of the CGP KS2 English Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling textbook in your English book. Remember our presentation rules: use your school blue pen, write the long date, write the sub-heading with the page number and title in the book, write neatly choosing where to join letters and check spelling and punctuation. When completing questions from this book, please write the full sentence out then follow the instruction in the question e.g. underline/add words/tick sentences etc.
Reading (30 minutes) –
Log into your account on the Reading Cloud and select an e-book to read. Read some of this each day. You will be asked at a later date to write a book review.
Read page 13 ‘Science News’ of the First News issue 719. Then complete the news puzzle matching the key words and their definitions. Complete this in your English book. In your Maths book, complete the questions in the document below 'Roman Numerals'. Remember the presentation rules (write the short date and the page number as your sub-heading, 1 digit per square and use a pencil).
Science (1 ½ hours) –
Read the facts about the invention of new materials on the ‘New Materials’ sheet. Then on lined paper for each material, write who the inventor was, the year it was invented, how it was invented and the advantages of it (see sheet for example).
