First, complete the quiz. This is to show what you already know so don’t worry if you find some questions tricky. Record your score in your Maths book.

Then, scroll up to the top of the page then click ‘Next Activity’.


Watch the video, the teacher will explain to when to pause. Complete all work in your Maths book under your Date and LO not on a sheet of paper. You can reply to the teacher out loud just like a real lesson! When it says to, copy and write your answer in your book then mark in green pen when the teacher tells you the answer (you can pause the video if you need more time)


Write down all terminology given along with its meaning and an example– this will help you come secondary school.

To locate the ‘worksheet’ please pause and close the video. Then scroll up to the top of the page then click ‘Next Activity’. You will have a set of slides with question, equations, sums etc. This is the worksheet.


Continue through the slides up to slide 9 and Q23. Slides 10-14 are the answers. Self-mark in your books, using a green pen, and edit incorrect answers by identifying errors.


Once you have marked your work, click ‘Next Activity’. You should see ‘Start Quiz’ complete the quiz. Record your score in your Maths book then send your score to your class teacher when you send your ‘Good Morning’ message on I Am Learning on Wednesday morning.


Optional task – You age is ‘n’. Write algebraic expressions for your families ages like your teacher did in the first part of the video.


You have two days to answer all 23 questions as they do get more complicated. You may wish to rewind the video to your teacher modelling writing expressions for additional support.
