British Science week will be held in March and this year, the theme is 'Innovating the Future'.
I know we have lots of brilliant scientists, inventors and engineers out there and I am setting you a challenge to link to this annual celebration of Science!
To link to our theme, I would like you to get inventing and designing. You could either:
- design an invention - it can be something that takes an existing invention and improves it - or could be a completely imagined creation for the future! (I always love re-watching old Wallace and Gromit inventions for ideas!)
- create a Rube Golding machine (- these are brilliant fun - I have included a very elaborate example in the video below, but if you search online, there are lots of examples for ideas)
- design a Rube Golding machine (maybe your ideas are too big to carry out at home - you could draw, colour and label a design though).
Send your pictures or videos in to school and we will share them on the website. Either upload them to this assignment, or email them to your year group email (firstname.lastname@example.org/ y4@parkhall.... etc.)
The deadline for your entries is Friday 5th March - so you have plenty of time to get creative!
I can't wait to see what you come up with!
