Reading every day
Remember to read every day for at least ten minutes. Try to read a variety of books (fiction and non-fiction and a range of genres). Discussing what you have read can help you understand it even better. Below are some discussion questions to help you.
Practise your reading aloud
This year, we have done lots of work on how we can be fantastic storytellers. Continue to work on these skills by choosing a story and reading aloud to someone else in your house such as your brothers or sisters. Think about how you can use the tone of your voice to engage them in the story and make them want to listen! Don't forget to think about punctuation and when you may need to pause.
