LO: To identify places of worship in Walsall.

On a piece of A4 lined paper, list any religious buildings that you know are in Walsall. These could be near your house, one that you attend or some that you see when driving locally.

Below are 6 religions that were included in the Census you looked at last week. Did you find a place of worship in Walsall for each of these religions?

Christian

Buddhist

Hindu

Jewish

Muslim

Sikh

Today we would like you to investigate different places of worship in Walsall. Please use the information given on each of the links below to answer as many of the following questions as you can (some information may be unavailable due to current circumstances) –

Which religion worships here?

Where is the place of worship located?

What services happen here?

When is it open?

Are there any other additional community services? E.g. Brownies, Neighbourhood Watch.

Christian: Broadway URC Church (Local Church) http://www.urcwalsall.uk/welcome-1.html

You will need to keep your research safe as you will need to use it in your RE lesson next week.
