RE (1 hour)

L.O. to reflect on the similarities and differences between the places of worship for two religions.

Think back to what you have learnt about Christianity and Hinduism over the last two weeks. If needed, you can access those lessons again on our distance learning page at the bottom.  Create a Venn Diagram focusing on the similarities and differences of Christianity and Hinduism worship. Anything they share should go in middle in the overlapping part.  Think about:

  • How/where they pray
  • How they celebrate or say thank you
  • What their services are like
  • The names of key figures in their religion
  • Their Holy texts

Venn diagram

Now reflect on these questions and write an answer in as much detail as you can:

  • How do you find stillness or peace?
  • What do you celebrate and how?
  • How do you have fun with your friends and family?
  • If you have religious beliefs, then you can also reflect on how you personally experience God and write about this.
  • What is good about a community with many different religions and beliefs?

Art (1 hour)

See today's Art task in the document below.
