Thank you letter

Today, think about all of the learning that you have done at home. Think about who at home has helped you to be able to do your work – it might be a parent, a grandparent or a sibling. Think about how they have helped you: helped you to access the work on the internet, helped you to practise or understand a skill, read a book with you, tested you on your spellings of the week or read your writing. Write them a letter to say thank you for their help.

Begin by telling them why you are writing. Make them aware that you appreciate what they did for you and explain with examples. Tell them what you enjoyed or liked about learning with their help. There are some sentence openers below to help you. When you have finished writing your letter, read it carefully. Proof-read for spelling or punctuation errors and make any necessary changes to words/clauses. Then, give your letter to the person that has helped you.

I really appreciate…

Thank you so much for…

I really enjoyed when…

When you helped me to…

After you helped me with…
