Art (1 ½ hours)
30 minutes -
First read https://www.wikihow.com/Shade-Drawings.
Now have a look at the shading worksheet. You can either print this off to use or you can just copy the shapes from the sheet neatly on to A4 plain paper using a ruler where necessary. The arrows next to the shape show the light direction, which means you will need to shade the darker parts furthest away from your light source. Using this information, use pencils and coloured pencils, to shade in the shapes. Below is an example of shading that you could also choose to copy.
Now that you have practised shading, try to recreate a shaded face on A4 plain paper.
First draw a face of someone in your house or a face from a photography or image. Make sure it fills the entire A4 page.
Next, follow this video (15 minutes long) in order to shade in your face. You may want to watch the video all the way through first and then click through it as you attempt your art piece. Have fun getting creative!
