If you run out of space in any exercise books (orange Maths or yellow English book), please ask an adult to contact the office to arrange to pick up a new one.

Complete the calculations in the document below in your maths books ‘Adding decimals’.

History – Victorians – The Great Exhibition (11/2 hours)


  1. Listen to the first video on the page about The Crystal Palace. The story is told by John Russell, an engineer who worked on the construction of the Crystal Palace. Russell describes the remarkable story of how the Crystal Palace came to be built.
  2. After listening, try this short task that relates to the video:

 ‘Write down the problems that the other engineers thought would come up.’ Answers for this will be given tomorrow.

  1. Look at the PDF called ‘The Great Exhibition’. Fill in the missing words (write it out on lined paper if you cannot print it). Answers given tomorrow.
  2. Continue reading History Hackers: Victorian Ventures if you have not yet finished it.
