This campaign promotes the message ‘Clever never goes’ rather than ‘Stranger danger’. The website has information for parents about helping children recognise specific situations that are unsafe and how to respond in these situation.
School nurses are qualified nurses with specialist training in public health for children, young people and families. They work with children from reception up to the age of 18 years. They assess health needs; provide advice about the promotion of wellbeing, prevention of ill health and early support when problems arise. School nurses accept referrals from parents and carers of children & young people who are aged five to nineteen years old or up to the age of 25 years if a young person has additional health needs or special education needs/
