We are delighted to meet our Year 3 school councillors! They are already working hard for the Black Country Foodbank and have presented an assembly to their class. Food is now coming into school ready for the children to deliver the food to the food bank to support families in the community.
Autumn term has been great for Year 3 who have settled brilliantly at Park Hall Junior Academy and are quickly developing their understanding of our PROUD expectations. In English, the children have enjoyed a variety of hands-on activities to strengthen their writing skills and have loved exploring Cinderella of the Nile, making thoughtful comparisons to the traditional Cinderella story.
In Maths, the have been building a strong understanding of place value and beginning to apply their mental addition strategies, such as partitioning numbers. The children have also shown real enthusiasm in our Art Design lessons where they have been experimenting with charcoal to explore light and dark as well as developing their shading techniques.
What a fantastic start to life at the Junior School – we are so proud of their efforts and achievements this half term.
