Enjoy looking the photos of the children having a great time on Residential.
Photos will remain on the website until 1st September.
Wednesday Morning
We woke up to the sun shining again and a delicious hot breakfast of beans, eggs and hash browns with toast. There was also a treat of a pain au chocolat.
Children have now finished their last activity and are getting ready to say goodbye to their instructors. All children have had the opportunity to take part in : zip wire, low ropes, wide games, rocket launch, survival skills, kayaking and gladiator wall.
We will be having a hot lunch before departure later today and the office will send out a message with our approximate arrival time if you would like to collect your child early today.
Tuesday Evening
We are all back from kayaking and have had a lovely hot meal! Tonight's choices were beef burger or bean burger with chips or chicken or mushroom curry with noodles. For pudding, there was chocolate cake!
We are now taking part in mini Olympics. So far, each group has created their own country, performed a national anthem which their group created, acted as ninjas in a running race and thrown a shot put.
Tuesday afternoon
After a wet start to the day, the sun is shining once again. Children had a choice of jacket potato (with lots of different toppings) or sausage roll or cheese and onion pasty. Half the group have completed kayaking and, to quote, "It was the best activity ever!". The other half are setting out now before dinner later tonight. Children will be taking part in mini Olympics for their evening activity.
Tuesday Morning
Children have just got back from a lovely hot breakfast- bacon, eggs, vegetarian sausage and beans. They are excited for a full day of activities. Everyone has kayaking after lunch.
Mrs Healy and Mrs Amos enjoyed their visit to Condover Hall this morning. The children are very settled and enjoying the activities. They saw children zipping down the zip wire and it was so lovely to see all the JCA staff, Park Hall staff and the other children cheering their friends on and giving them support to overcome their fear of a new challenge. Other groups were working as a team to launch a rocket or to get from one side of the apparatus to the other without touching the floor! In order to get up the high ropes, it was great to see friends working together so that the person aiming high could reach the top. Some of the children were just going into the shop as we left but were very excited to be going kayaking later in the afternoon.
Monday Dinner
Children had the choice of a delicious pasta tea or cod coujons for tea. There were lots of happy faces when they realised there were yum yums for pudding.
They are now heading out for the runaround quiz- it is beautiful weather to be outside!
Monday Afternoon
We have all arrived safely at Condover. All children are very excited to be here! They have unpacked and have had a tour of the site. They are eagerly awaiting their first official activity which will differ from group to group. By the time we leave on Wednesday, all groups will have completed each activity.
We will aim to update the website later with what was available for dinner. The evening activity today is the runaround quiz which will be a great way for the children to familiarise themselves with the site whilst practising their orienteering skills.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
